Every level is a living record sleeve
We hand-paint each of the 48 stages as a spinning op-art disc — concentric orange and grape rings that breathe in time with the music. Rotate the outer ring, snap the beat, and the whole pattern locks into a satisfying groove. No two discs spin the same way.
Built for the couch, tuned for two
Bexunarela was designed around one screen and two controllers. One player bends the tempo, the other steers the swirl, and you can only clear a stage when both grooves align. It is loud, funny, and gloriously chaotic in the best way.
A love letter to 1960s sound and shape
Our tiny studio near Green Square spent two years digging through reverb tanks, fuzz pedals and op-art prints. The result is 62 original tracks, a hand-drawn colour palette, and menus that wobble like a lava lamp — all running at a buttery 120 frames per second.

Grab a partner
Bexunarela shines in local co-op. Hand a friend the second controller, split the swirl, and agree on who bends the tempo. Solo players can hot-swap both roles on the fly.

Feel the pulse
Each disc plays a looping 1960s riff. Tap along until the outer ring glows raspberry — that is your window. The soundtrack teaches the timing, so trust your ears before your eyes.

Twist the swirl
Rotate the op-art rings so matching colours line up on the beat. Chain three clean snaps to trigger a Groove Streak and melt the pattern into the next movement.

Ride the encore
Clear all four movements to unlock the stage encore — a freestyle jam where your score becomes the melody. Beat your best and share the replay locally with your co-op partner.

Not at all. Bexunarela is built for two-player local co-op, but every stage is fully playable solo by hot-swapping between the tempo and swirl roles. Solo players even get a dedicated one-hand control scheme in the options menu.

No. Bexunarela is a fully offline, single-device experience — including co-op and the Groove Studio remixer. The only online moment is the optional weekly challenge disc, which you can download whenever it suits you.
Accessibility was baked in from day one. There is a full beat visualiser for players who are hard of hearing, colourblind-safe palettes with shape cues, adjustable timing windows, and remappable controls throughout.
